Senior Principal

Daniel Raih was senior architect at Bruner Cott for over 35 years. His primary focus of practice was with student life projects on college and university campuses. He was responsible for major renovations, historic adaptations and signature new buildings at schools in the Eastern United States. These projects have included student centers and unions, and conference facilities. Campuses where he completed major, award-winning projects include Vanderbilt University, University of Chicago, University of Georgia, University of Massachusetts, Boston University, Dartmouth College, Harvard, and MIT. Daniel was a practitioner and speaker on the benefits of LEAN project management methods.

In his work, Dan successfully engaged students, staff, and operators in order to achieve inclusive design solutions which serve the campus mission and aspirations and provide lasting benefit to the students and the community they serve. He was deeply committed to sustainable design and engineering, particularly within the challenges of designing large college dining facilities. Under his leadership Bruner Cott secured LEED Gold and Silver certifications on several of these projects.
