Located at the heart of the Hampshire College campus, the R.W. Kern Center is a multi-purpose facility intended to embody a high threshold of forward-thinking sustainable design: generating its own energy, capturing and treating its own water, and processing and recycling its waste. The Living Certified v2.1 building includes classrooms, offices, and a community café and gallery, and serves as a primary entry point to the campus.
Bruner/Cott Partner and Principal, Jason Jewhurst, AIA, and Director of Education & Outreach at the R.W. Kern Center, Sara Draper, will be leading Green Building United on a virtual tour of the project. The event will include a “virtual” walking tour with live video and audio feed from the R.W. Kern Center. There will be an opportunity after the tour for attendees to ask questions and discuss the project with our speakers.
