Catch architect Christopher Nielson in Burlington, VT this week at Efficiency Vermont’s Better
Buildings by Design Conference. Christopher– along with Chris Chamberland of Berkshire Design Group, Roger Cooney of Wright Builders, Inc., and Marc Rosenbaum of South Mountain Company — will be leading a riveting session entitled, Putting It All Together — Integrated Design for the Hampshire College R.W. Kern Center in Amherst, Massachusetts.
This presentation will give an overview of the Living Building Challenge (LBC), including the specific LBC “petals” as related to the R.W. Kern Center project at Hampshire College. Segments will include an overview of the engineering, design, and construction processes, the various energy and water requirements, as well as lessons learned along the way with ample time for Q&A with the panel.
