Girl UNinterrupted: The Boston Experiment

September 27, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Bruner/Cott’s Director of Operations, Meg Gatza, will be a panelist at Girl UNinterrupted: The Boston Experiment  on Thursday, September 27, 2018.

Meg will join four other members of the architectural community with different years of experience, backgrounds, and roles in the field to discuss struggles they have faced, issues today, and how we can work together to create more equitable environments.

This event is free and open to the public!

This presentation is a reflection of a one-year experiment on design equity in the Boston area, revealing gaps in the design profession when it comes to young designers and negotiation, career growth, and work-life balance. The Girl UNinterrupted project bridges the gap between young female designers and leaders in architecture, and targets two groups: it offers a manual for young designers on how to jumpstart careers and it provides firm leaders with an understanding of young designers’ struggles while offering suggestions on tweaks in office culture to produce an environment of equity and thus maximize talent.
