This 225-room, fifteen-story Marriott Residence Inn was the first new hotel constructed in Cambridge in ten years. The Residence Inn prototype is intended to fulfill a growing market niche for high quality, long term occupancy in the Cambridge and Boston markets. The typical hotel/apartment rooms are one and two bedroom suites, each with an efficiency kitchen. This project was an integral part of the ongoing Cambridge Center Urban Renewal being undertaken by Boston Properties.
