Bruner/Cott, in association with Moore Ruble Yudell, has been commissioned to design the new Class of 1953 Commons (“53 Commons”), marking the firm’s third major new construction project on Dartmouth’s North Campus. 53 Commons will contain a 250-seat dining facility with related support functions, a graduate student lounge, office space for the Office of Residential Life, and a new campus-wide conference room. The building will be designed to achieve a LEED Silver rating.
The facility will provide a variety of seating options to accommodate different-sized groups, from sports team meals to casual study sessions. An assortment of servery stations will give students the option of either a la carte or fixed price/“all you can eat” dining and will also add to the dynamic, interactive feel of the food preparation and serving experience. |
