The Boott Mill is perhaps the most significant of Lowell’s remaining historic mills. Bruner/Cott is creating 110 market units in the Western Mills wing of the building. 39 units are now complete in phase one. The remaining units will be built-out in two additional phases. The renovation of this important mill, sited directly on the Merrimack River and close to the downtown, opens new opportunities for in-town living and supports the ongoing revitalization of downtown Lowell.
The exterior of the Mill has been preserved under the Secretary of the Interior’s standards, while the interior retains original wood beams and ceilings, brick walls and cast iron columns; all preserved as part of the amenities of the loft-style units.
